The artistic ansamble Gruppo Tökmag came to existence in 2008, but the two founders, András Tábori and Tamás Budha, have been co-operating on several projects for about 8 years now. In the focus of the group’s activity, public and urban spaces are regarded as open exhibition places containing many different media that can be used for artistic self-expression. Their works are best interpreted within the network of urban life, public spaces and omnipresent, governing signs, reflecting on the very tissue of big city existence and uncovering “hidden” phenomena.

In the first decades of the 20th century more than ten thousand people left Hungary and crossed the ocean to make a better life on the land of America, The majority of the emigrants were employed at the railway constructions. István Dervarits could neither make an easier living - he laid railway tracks in the richest state in the most developing Western coast at the time...
